Brass Quartet
This motet was composed about 1570 and was originally set for four voices. It transcribes beautifully for brass and could be considered a companion piece for the popular O Magnum Mysterium. The trumpet intones the Gregorian chant melody, followed by a jaunty and insistent triple-meter section, which leads to a drawn-out "Amen".
